We've opened up the back of The Redcliff into something we've wanted to build for years - a proper events space with room to move. Covered and uncovered areas, a sunken dance floor, a stage for live music, and full bar and kitchen service.

The Cliff is yours exclusively for the day: the space, the bar and the kitchen, with no other bookings alongside you.

Canapés are served in rounds through the evening, not once. Every menu is built around your numbers, the season and what you love to eat. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free all catered for.

Good to know

What's the wet weather plan?
The decks, the lounge and the stage are all under solid roofing, and the space is heated, so Fiordland weather doesn't stop the party. We'll talk through the wet weather plan when you book.
Can we bring our own DJ or band?
Absolutely. The stage has full power, PA system hookups and a basic lighting rig. Bring your own artists or ask us - we work with some great local musicians and can help you book someone. Sound gear hire is available too.
Do we get the whole venue to ourselves?
YesYes. The Cliff is booked as exclusive use: the space, the bar and the kitchen are yours for the day, with no other bookings alongside you. It holds up to 120 guests.
What's included in the bar service?
Full Redcliff bar - craft beer, Central Otago and Marlborough wines, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic options. We can set up a tab, cash bar or pre-paid drinks package depending on what you prefer. Our bar team runs it all.
Is there parking nearby?
There's free street parking on Mokonui Street and the surrounding streets. For larger events, we can arrange shuttle pickups from local accommodation - just let us know.
How far in advance should we book?
For weddings and large functions, we'd suggest at least 3-6 months. For smaller events, a few weeks is usually fine. But popular dates go fast - get in touch early to lock in your preferred date.
